Arts & Crafts
Getting kids to engage and play with veg, fruit and beans is the first step to them developing a good relationship with healthy eating. If your child struggles with actually eating veggies and fruit, themed arts & crafts can be a gentle and fun way to get them more used to them.

Get kids engaged and having fun
Veg-based activities help kids form positive associations with vegetables and fruit long before they taste them. Starting with arts & crafts, puzzles and games takes the pressure off, builds confidence, and makes the later steps (sensory play, helping in the kitchen, and eventually eating veg) much easier.
We’ve gathered loads of fun veg activities for kids. Here are a few favourites, plus easy ways to spark creativity with whatever you already have at home.
Facemasks
Print out your favourite of our fab face masks, colour them in to make them your own, add some elastic and you are good to go!
Don’t have a printer? Why not try using our designs as a jumping off point to create your own with a piece of paper and pen?
Crowns
Print out your favourite of our creative crowns, colour them in to make them your own.
If you don’t have a printer you can just grab a strip of paper that fits around your child’s head as a band, then get a second piece of paper for them to design their own crown on to attach to it!
Colouring
Print out one of our many colouring sheets and colour in with your favourite colours. If you love art, why not see if you can design your own veg mandala by repeating veggies over and over in beautiful shapes?
Cut out and colour
Print out one of our veg images, colour them in or stick on torn up materials for a collage, then cut out the shape and fold to make your own standing vegetable. Or try grabbing some veg, fruit or beans from in your house and draw it yourself, adding texture and colour with colouring pencils or collage materials.
